One more week... (2nd 9 weeks)
This is the final "normal" week of school before exams, then the following week begins Christmas break. It will be nice to have a few weeks break. Not just from this class, just from school in general. Being in senior year, I'm in some of the toughest classes you can have on campus. The work load isn't too much, but it is enough to be mentally draining. I also need to finish filming Cribs. I got 90-95% of what I want, and could just work with that, but there are a few more shots I would like to get to make it look more like what I envision. Almost done with this 9 weeks. One more week...

Home alone? (2nd 9 weeks)
This week we are working on a spoof of Home Alone. Justin, as usual, did a great job at writing a script for it and it sounds like it will be a really good episode. I went home sick a day this week and I was supposed to film Cribs that day so it isn't going to be on the show this week. The intro, music, lower third and everything else is done all I need is the actual footage. I'm disappointed because I was really hoping to have it done for this weeks show.

Cribs comeback, anyone? (2nd 9 weeks)
This week I began to start the graphics for the new* "Wolfcenter CRIBS" that I'm going to be working on. The first episode is going to be of Yearbook, which is being filmed tomorrow (Dec4th) during 5th period. The intro took a good few days to get right, but looks awesome. It's a blueprint that tranforms into a title that simply states, "WOLFCENTER CRIBS." I'm pretty happy with it, and now am going to begin working on the lower thirds that will show the name of the teacher that is being shown in whichever episode is airing.
Wolfcenter has been interesting in terms of classroom "flow." Some people are doing a lot of work, some are doing what they can, and others are acting like they don't need to do anything (Harmless?). Some people are noticing it too. I feel I'm doing good, as I keep trying to find new things to do (e.g. CRIBS) but know I could probably do more. Nevertheless, there are people that could be doing a lot more.

Howl at the Moon! (2nd 9 weeks)
As you can see above, I like making Corner Bugs. They seem to be one of the easiest ways to learn After Effects (the picture above is Premeire, I made the moon in After Effects and added the wolf with Premeire. The moon is 3D and spins completely around). I do other projects also, these just happen to be my favorites. They are the most simple yet I try to make them challenging and try to learn something new everytime. Some others seem to be just riding on the coat-tails of what they've learned previous years instead of trying to find ways to make their work better.
It's a Scooby Doo Halloween (2nd 9 weeks)
Above is a screenshot of one of the projects I did this week for the "Scooby Doo" Halloween show. I recreated the "Mystery Machine" logo and added WCS for us and then around back it says "Scooby Doo!" when it spins around. After Effects is what I'm currently trying to learn as Premeire has become almost too easy. Still everyday we have people that are asking questions about things we learned in TVI. Shows who paid attention...

Day One (2nd 9 weeks)
Day one of the second 9 weeks is here. I'm 1/4 done with Senior year. Can't wait to be done, but at the same time I will be sad to see it go.
We are working on a Halloween show this week, but it won't air until actual Halloween next week on Wednesday. This causes us to have two shows next week, so to make up for that we aren't having a show this last week. This is helpful as we will have a full week to work on two shows.
Hopefully this will help everyone that hasn't been getting their stuff done, get it done.

Anchorman (1st 9 weeks)
Anchorman show is today, unfortunately I missed the long class period due to a doctor's appointment, but the show looks to have turned out very well. We watched the show before the airing and it was HILARIOUS. This is the best show yet, but we may look to top it with the Halloween show. That show is scheduled to take place ON Halloween, and is going to be Scooby Doo.

14 corner bugs later... (1st 9 weeks)
Yes, that title says it. 14 corner bugs. How long did they take? All of 2 days, total. To make all the graphics. Animate all of them in Premiere (correctly, no glitches, no misspellings). Export them. And put them in the network for everyone to take advantage of. I made baseball, basketball, football, flag football, golf, lacrosse, soccer, softball, swimming, tennis, track, volleyball, weightlifting, and wrestling. All in a matter of 2 days. Some people are complaining about getting the simplest things done. I don't make half-a**ed work (Mrs Christie, do I get counted off for using that expression? If so tell me so I don't do it again please!). I put all my effort into making it look the best I think it can be for what I'm trying to achieve. I make things I can be proud of watching, and proud to claim as mine. Some people throw together things that, honestly, they should be ashamed of. Enough said.
DST, and other miscellaneous talkings (1st 9 weeks)
What a long few weeks it's been. Wolfcenter has been rolling along, and the 6th airing is tomorrow. However, there have been its respective, metaphorical bumps in the road. This week we are missing an ENG. No one seems to be aware as to why this didn't get done. A new rule has been suggested (by Mrs Christie) that if you don't have something on the show a certain week, you get a "zero" for said week. Being that I get my work done on time (and looking better than some that take longer, to be a little self-congratulatory), I support this rule 100%. Above you can see a DST project I made, took all of 3 days. Making the actual clock took the longest, which was maybe 45 minutes. Animating is just easy. Tedious, yes, but easy. People need to get their stuff done.

And it begins... (1st 9 weeks)
It's the first 9 weeks of Senior Year, and we are already hard at it. Wolfcenter started the 3rd week of school and we are currently at full speed ahead making shows each week. We probably would've started earlier but Mrs Christie was unable to attend school the first week.
Wolfcenter is fast. There is always something to do. If you don't have something to do...you find something. Never tell Mrs Christie you have nothing to do, because you are wrong, you do have something to do, you just might need to search for what that is sometimes. I like the faster pace as it really shows who knows how to get their stuff done. Overall, Wolfcenter seems to be running relatively smooth.

Title Sequence (4th 9 weeks)
It's the final countdown. This is the last week of "school" (excluding exams). Two more projects to complete. DVD Cover (near finished, just needs a last minute touch up) and Title Sequence (shown below in it's infant stages). I lost my wallet this weekend, and am now waiting until later today when I can go to the bank to get a new debit card...I need this for some sofware I bought to finish up the dress code video (but it's looking like I may have to do without it due to time running short...). I'm ready for school to end. It's slower and quieter every morning now, people are just worn out. Almost there.

DVD Cover (4th 9 weeks)
Almost done. 2 more weeks of actual school, 3 more if you include exams. I am guranteed 3 exempt, and hopefully will by weeks end have 5 guranteed. The only one I plan on having to take in the end is Anatomy (at least it taught me what I DON'T want to do). The project of DVD Cover is something I always have found interesting. It's so simple, yet you can make it so creative. It's a chance to play around with different effects to use on the text that you use to make your name and titles of the projects. I always like to make mine look nice. (Below is a screenshot of mine as a work-in-progress.) This past week Adobe updated their Creative Suite software to CS6, so of course I updated. At my house I have Adobe CS6 Master Collection, and it's a noticeable improvement over CS5. Especially for Photoshop CS6.

Corporate ID (4th 9 weeks)
Another day another project. This time it's 'Corporate ID,' and I did mine at home in free time. Using an application called 'Blender' that I've used before for various other side projects and classes, I recreated the 'Universal Studios' intro (screenshot below is converting it to AVI, as Blender wouldn't let me) in about 30 minutes total. My personal computer at home, being an iMac running a quad-core 3.2Ghz Intel chip with a 1TB HD and a 2TB EXTHD, was easily able to render the entire Blender project in maybe 20 seconds. The end result is good, but because of the aspect ratio rendered the 'globe' in the background of the text as a semi-oval shape instead of a circle. It'll do though.

Movie Menu (4th 9 weeks)
A few weeks, a few projects. Interims come Wednesday, and unsurprisingly I have an A. Photoshop and Premiere are easy to learn if you sit down with them and just mess around with some controls here and there, learning how to accomplish different effects that you want, etc. The most recent project to be turned in is the movie menu (screenshot attached), and I decided to do mine on 'The Hunger Games.' as that was, in my opinion, a great movie and even better book series.

Ticker (4th Nine Weeks)
New 9 weeks, new projects, new things to learn, same ol' people complaining about not being able to finish projects. The ticker was the first project of this 9 weeks and was by far one of the easiest. Of course, you could make it more complex than others but there still wasn't a way to really make it too hard. All it needed was 3-4 layers in Photoshop (of course, that's one of the more simple, mine included 8-9), and some movement added to it in Premeire. With one project down, there's still the rest of the year left. Looking forward to summer already.

Animated Story Book (3rd 9 weeks)
Animated Story Books have by far been the most time consuming of projects. Many people didn't finish, but it could have easily been completed in the alloted time (3 weeks). I finished mine with relative ease, it just took time to go through and cut everything out, that's why it is worth the points it is though. Those that didn't finish were obviously just not keeping up to speed on working.
TV Pro Promo (3rd 9 weeks)
It's time for course request forms. With that, we made a project on the things you can do in TV Pro, and the projects that are in TV1, persuading people to join the class next year. Mine was made in Adobe After Effects and turned out pretty good. It used 3D objects and glows to make it have different lighting effects and flow easily and quickly.
Tag (3rd 9 weeks)
Tags were a combination of logos and Corner Bugs to make a full screen Tag. Some people seemed to have trouble coming up with even simple ideas for the easy project, making theirs look made "last second." Mine wasn't the most creative of them but it wasn't a last minute one.
Logo (3rd 9 weeks)
For my logo I decided to test out new things in Photoshop that I haven't used before. Going beyond the basics we've learned in class, I tried textures, overlay gradients, and tried different ways of using the Bevel/Emboss to make the logo look more multi-dimensional.
Corner Bug (3rd 9 weeks)
Corner Bugs are done, with mine I experimented with layer textures with good results. My corner bug turned out great. Most people in class seem to not know the basics of Photoshop and Premeire, showing that they need to start paying better attention if they want to be in TV3.
